The first Volkswagen Rabbit was made in 1975. There have been changes along the way: the VW Rabbit convertible was first the VW "Wolfsburg Special" and then the VW Cabriolet, then the VW Cabrio. The Rabbit or Cabriolet convertible top and convertible top frame were unchanded from 1979 to 1994. However the frame seals for the VW Rabbit and VW Cabriolet, are of needlessly complex design, and Volkswagen Corp. changed them periodically within VW Rabbit and VW Cabriolet year/models ! Most VW Rabbit and VW Cabriolet seals not being duplicated for the aftermarket. We actively search all sources for replacement VW Rabbit and VW Cabriolet parts.
