The brake adjuster nut fits inside the brake drum. It attaches to
the adjusting block on the backing plate and tightens or loosens
the brake shoe.

These plugs insert into the adjusting holes on the rear of the
brake backing plates and prevent debris from entering
the brake drums or brake shoes.
