Since used and rebuilt Transmissions are still readily available for the VW at Prices that are barely more than the cost of the parts to rebuild them, we are producing this video to show how to exchange your transmission. Later in the series we will get inside to show you how to replace all those worn gears and bearings.

Since there are three different axle and tube set-ups in the old types, we show you how to change the axles to suit your car.

We also show how to replace the rear axle bearings and grease seals, axle boots, and even the front shift housing.
