This is a direct drilled crank shaft.

In cross-drilled crankshafts the pressure is divided in two directions, creating a zone of turbulence causing effects similar to oil foaming that reduces constant lubrication. Direct Drilled Crankshaft force the oil in one direction for better full flow lubrication. This crank has 4 dowel with dowel pins.

I-Beam Rod, 5.500, Chevy Journal 2.00" 51mm, 3/8" Rod Bolts, Set of 4

These I-Beam Rods use the same design as original, but are forged from 4140 Chromoly to give you a high strength rod at a budget price. 3/8 inch 8740 200,000 psi tensile load rod bolts add all the strength and reliability necessary for this rod design. Radiused caps aid in stroker clearance. All rods are sold in matched weights. Torque bolts to 38ft. lbs.

Crankshaft Gear Puller - A professional quality tool will solve the problem of removing the crankshaft timing gear- a gear which must be removed when an engine is rebuilt and the main bearings are changed. In operation this tool simply slips under the gear and with a wrench or impact gun the gear is easily removed. The highest quality standards are used in the construction of this tool for years of service for the do-it-yourself or the professional. Fits all 12-1600cc Beetle style engines- does not fit the larger 17-2000cc type 4 engines. Note DO NOT FORGET to remove the snap ring on the end of the crankshaft before using this puller as this is a sure way to ruin this gear puller and void your warranty.
