Cal Look seals are solid rubber, with no groove for a channel molding. The American Style seal has a groove that accepts the decorative molding.

You can eliminate the molding by switching from the "American Style" to the "Cal Look." The Cal Look seal is easier to install and easier on the budget. Cal Look seals outsell American Style by twenty to one.

Note: For the Cal Look 73-79 Super Beetle Windshield seal installation, please remove the original metal surround grippers on the windshield before installing any Cal Look seal.
