Reinforcement rails are crucial for solidifying the car's body in a convertible. Rusting rails invite erosion of the undercarriage, which jeopardizes your car's structural integrity. Symptoms of trouble: Sagging doors that don't shut right or are misaligned with their posts.

Our replacement rails are properly configured to merge with the floor pans and wheel well. Angles, dimensions, and weld integrity are excellent. Jack supports are installed in the rails.

Instructions: The very best instructions on installing these, and the floor pans,
jack plates and all related work is to be found in Volume 7 of the 'Bug Me'
DVDs. The reinforcement rails work is contained in this great body work DVD.

Partial Restoration: We sell complete heater channels by the side: either left or right. For those doing partial restoration work we also have available the heater channel bottom plates and also the front sections. In many cases you can grind off what is left of the old heater channel plates and weld new ones on.

Complete Restoration: Complete restoration requires removing the floor pan bolts (to the heater channel) and cutting away of the weld joints. Then new channels can be welded and bolted in place. Usually if there is significant decay in the bottom channel plate then there is enough rot in the rest of the channel that complete restoration is advised. We advise (if you are not familiar with this work) that you get the dvd instructions for heater channel work.)

The choice of replacing the whole channel or just the bottom plate should be made with care. The same holds true for deciding to join a new front section to the rest of the existing heater channel.

We can ship these parts by UPS or parcel post.
