Volkswagen Beetle Relays

Beetle Relays:

Some Interesting Stuff.
Your Beetle or Super Beetle has relays for any circuit (like the headlight relay for example) where you don't want the current that operates the part to flow through the switch. A small current that the switch activates goes to the relay where a secondary circuit is 'turned on.' In other words the relay "relays" the primary signal to the secondary circuit. The secondary circuit takes the current from the generator or alternator to the component.

In your house when you turn on a light its current flows right through the switch. A different situation altogether than the car's requirements which dictate the use of relays.

We carry every Beetle and Super Beetle relay.
